What better thing to talk about then my love of all things cosmetics. With that being said, I now present the first entry of what is to be my pseudo makeup blog. I submitted this to another blog for consideration as they were looking for a guest writer too :)
With a new year comes many things: new love, new experiences, and of course delicious new cosmetic collections that we simply cannot wait to get our hands on. Spring 2008 collections do not disappoint, but I think I know what you are all really looking forward to... On February 13th (that's 19 days away folks!), M.A.C will launch the M.A.C for Fafi collection. Promising bright colors and gorgeous packaging, I know I am chomping at the bit to get each and every last item before it sells out! Talk about fun, flirty, and gorgeous beyond belief!
Let's rewind to January 2007. With a new year came word of a collaboration between M.A.C and that iconic classic- Barbie. M.A.C fans were not disappointed by the bright colors (helloooo rocker chick) and the funky/beautiful M.A.C Barbie doll. Fafi promises to blow the Barbie out of the water with its vibrant and massive in size collection. From blushes to dolls, green eyeshadow to hot pink lips- this collection has something to please everyone.
M.A.C has just launched its preliminary website: maccosmetics.com/fafi. Now I don't know about you, but I love the look of the image, it is the essence of what this collection is about: edgy and fun design!
Here are some other little tidbits I have picked up along the way:
- Fafi herself is going on a worldwide tour with 5 stops to promote her collection. On February 13th, it starts with her NY appearance at Henri Bendel's! You bet your bottom dollar that this makeup junkie has an appt for that very day. She will also be stopping by Singapore, Milan, Munich, and Dubai. - Some more info on the additional items available: The Tote will be $60, the makeup bags will be $15 & $25, the t-shirt will be $35, and the dolls are really small (around 6") and will be $9 ea.
- Last but not least, for those of you in NYC; Bendel's will be having a huge one week event lasting from the 7th to the 13th (do I smell previews) promoting the Fafi collection with makeovers and other promised fun. I signed up and I hope to see you there too!
